"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in split of overwhelming obstacles." -Christopher Reeve
What I think that this Christopher is trying to say is that a hero is someone who is a normal human being, and it doesn't have to be someone who actually has super powers; someone who actually finds their strength to help people who are overwhelming.
I agree with Christopher because mostly when we hear the word hero we think of someone who has powers and we never think of actual people who have helped us on our darkest hours.
My hero has always been my dad. Even though he doesn't have super powers or doesn't have these big muscles, my dad has been their since the day I was born. The main reason why my dad is my hero is because not only has he been their for me he's my best friend. I remember when I was going to enter middle school I needed to get 6 shots in a day, and I confess that im like really scared of needles. So I told my dad and I remember him telling me " be strong its not going to hurt all your life but just a second". I told him that I was going to try to be strong, and so when it was time for me to get in the room and get my shots I was really scared and I think that my dad notice that I was really scared. I remember that my dad got my hand and told me ill go in with you, and so he did. when the nurse was finished putting all the shots I needed, I notice that my dad had not let go of my hand at all. When we got out of the room I remember my dads words telling me "Ill always be their when you need me don't be afraid to ask me for help" since that day I knew my dad was my hero
